Holy cow, I am so glad it’s Friday. I had an insanely long week. There is simply no way that this past week consisted of only five days. It’s inconceivable.
Luckily, I have a great weekend planned out! Tonight: First Friday. Art + Food + Walking + Beer = One Great Friday Night. If you follow me on instagram, I can almost guarantee I will be posting some photos tonight. They’ll be super artsy and hipster in honor of the event. I have every intention of going to bed early tonight after I get my fill of art and craft beers because tomorrow I’m driving up to Boulder in the morning to hit the trails.
Skylar and I will be meeting my cousin, Lexi, for a jaunt up the mountain. You can definitely expect pictures. One of my favorite things about living in Denver is the proximity to the mountains. They’re so old and so beautiful and I feel so happy every time I catch a glimpse of them throughout my day. I digress… After hiking, we will most likely stop at the Pizzeria da Lupo in Boulder for lunch. My cousin, Jim, owns the restaurant and they have some of the best pizza I have ever had. I’m not just saying that because he’s family. The food is ridiculous. Next time you’re in Boulder, stop in for a pie. You won’t be disappointed.
We can all agree that looks delicious, right?
My plans for Sunday include: nothing. I have absolutely nothing planned for Sunday and I am over the moon about it! I would wake up at 5 to watch the women’s marathon live but I don’t have a TV. I highly doubt any bars will be open at that hour, so hopefully I can catch it streaming online. Go Kara, go!
In my dreams, I’m her pacer….
Besides that, maybe I’ll head to the park to read or work on some DIY projects. I’m overdue for a family Skype session so hopefully there will be a siblinglovefest in my near future. Either way, I love setting aside a few hours every week (a whole day if I’m lucky) to have nothing planned. Have a great weekend, y’all! See you back here next week!
